Matthew L. Stevans graduated Magna Cum Laude from Robert Morris College in May 1991 and earned his Certified Public Accountant Certificate in 1993. He is an active member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Stevans has maintained his prestigious Certified Global Management Accounting designation since 2012. He also served as an associate director for the Washington County Builders Association.

Mr. Stevans started his career as an intern at a local CPA firm in 1991 and helped grow this firm to become a leader in the audit and tax advisory services to the construction industry with over 30 professionals. He served as the Construction Industry Group Chairperson and facilitated numerous construction tax and accounting seminars. Mr. Stevans was named Partner in 2001 and in 2008 started his own own certified public accounting firm specializing in accounting, tax and general business consulting for small and medium-sized businesses. In 2018, this firm became Stevans & Associates, PLLC.

Mr. Stevans has had extensive experience with various industries in tax, audit, advisory, business valuations, forensic accounting and litigation support. Mr. Stevans has also provided public accounting services in the areas of business succession/acquisition planning, estate, gift and trust tax planning. Mr. Stevans speaks annually to real estate professionals regarding tax updates and innovative planning strategies for the real estate industry. Mr. Stevans has advised hundreds of real estate professionals across the country on strategies regarding flipping, buy and hold, short-term rentals, self-directed real estate IRA's, hard money lending, cost segregation studies, and like-kind exchanges.

Mr. Stevans is currently the managing member of Stevans & Associates, PLLC and heads the Operations Workgroup that focuses on maintaining the core values of the Firm and carrying out the Mission and Vision for all the Firm’s respected Clients and Associates.
